I am… is a simple open form audio work whose purpose is to inform the listener of its own age, as derived from when the piece was born (i.e. when it was finished, which was 12.33pm, on Saturday February 28th 2009). It then forms a looped audio section, using the age information to decide which audio files to loop and the duration of the independent looping lines.
